Refund & Returns Policy – CMC Auto Electrics

At CMC Auto Electrics, we stand by the quality of our workmanship and the products we supply. This policy outlines your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and warranties in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds for change of mind on products or services.

Please choose carefully before purchasing, as all sales are considered final unless the item is faulty or not as described.


Faulty or Defective Products

If a product supplied by us is faulty, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under Australian Consumer Law.

To process a claim:

  • You must notify us within 3 days of receiving the product
  • Proof of purchase is required
  • You may be asked to provide video or photo evidence of the fault

Once the item is returned and assessed:

  • If confirmed faulty, we will provide a replacement unit or suitable resolution
  • If the item is found not to be faulty, it will be returned to you

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.


Installed Products (Supply & Fit)

For products supplied and installed by us:

  • We warranty our installation workmanship
  • Product warranties are covered by the manufacturer (varies by brand)

If an issue arises:

  • We will inspect the vehicle and determine if the fault relates to installation or the product itself
  • If covered under warranty, we will assist with repair or replacement

Customer-Supplied Products (Install Only)

For items not purchased through us:

  • We do not offer any warranty on the product itself
  • Installation is completed at your own risk
  • Additional labour charges may apply if the product is faulty or incompatible

Diagnostics & Inspection Fees

Diagnostic and inspection fees are non-refundable, as they cover time spent identifying faults and assessing your vehicle.


Deposits

Deposits paid for bookings, consultations, or parts orders are:

  • Non-refundable if you cancel without sufficient notice
  • Transferrable at our discretion
